So I'm going to Melbourne on Friday! I'm so excited! I specifically wanted to go that weekend so I could go to Doujicon, which is a creator run comic convention-type thing. I am told that Melbourne is very creative so i shall go mingle with the masses, absorb some of their aura or something. Mainly get inspired so going back to college this semester. These holidays have been a good break, but I want to get back to doing stuff. I find the more tafe work and stressed I am, the more I get done in both tafe and personal projects. I look forward to writing another comic on the bus. The last one just needs cover art and it's done.

sooo... 4 nights in Melbourne! yay! I hear the shopping is excellent.

1. I like to be told what to do to a certain extent. for example I am happy for someone to boss me around at work and I like dates to have made the decisions about where we are going beforehand.

2. I don't talk alot, but thats mainly because I can never think of anything interesting to say.

3. I'm lucky, possibly, if you believe in luck. so far, nothing really bad has ever happened to me, I've never had a bad injury/been to hospital, never had a close relative die, always been able to find a job when I needed it (and good ones too). touch wood though

4. I used to collect dragons, not so much anymore since I have come to realise millions of dragon statues are a waste of money and just collect dust on the shelf. I only occasionally buy them now, currently lusting after some McFarlane Dragons.

5. I am the baroness of procrastination, seriously. I have 1 week left of holidays and have done nothing I promised myself I would.

6. and on that note, unmotivated unless I have someone breathing down my neck telling me what to do and giving me due dates.

7. I've never had a partner, my standards are to high, but I think it's also a fear of intimacy somewhat.

8. I accept things the way they are and don't really analyze anything

soo... holidays now, another 2 weeks off.
horaah.
Parties booked in for every weekend.
working as much as possible.
Booked a trip to Melbourne for 4 nights on the weekend of Doujicon.
I'm 21 now. big deal.
I don't like family events.
Got lots of work to do.
I'll actually have time to do something this week.
Going to the aquarium on Thursday.

got silver hair now, well as silver as it'll get.
I swear it's not grey.
The club last night was pretty dead.
Got to dance in the cage
But not for long, damn work making my feet ache.
they still hurt now
a day later.

I tend to forget this every year I go... Supanova is dull. Once you have piled up with purchases, you've spoken to every person you know/like the work of in artists alley and there's no one talking that you want to see, and the friends you came with have left so you are just hanging around the booths of people you know... it gets dull.

But what it does every year is get me inspired to get my own work done. (every year it inspires me, yet why has nothing ever been finished?) I look at th artists alley, at the artists there and think "I could do that". Next year I really will have something. I've been stuffing around asking people to write stuff for me, but that'll never work, I've just been wasting time. I just need to buckle down, kick myself in the ass and do something. Maybe actually start working on F&G, the comic that's been in the early stages of pre-production for the last year and a half or so. holy shit... it's been a while. I really want to get something done these holidays, not F&G, 'cause the more I think about that, the more I want it to be some epic full colour piece of awesome. No, more along the lines of something small I can sell at UTBM. I'll keep you all posted.

New job is ok. it's just a job. It's such a different world than where I'm from. I don't belong in a garden centre, I belong in some artificial world. But money is money. It's friendly and casual, so can't complain, it's just not my scene in a garden centre.

I got job!

and I just realised I didn't tell you guys! woohooooo!!!! come to me for all your gardenlly needs 'cause I am now a cashier at Sydneys leading garden and lifestyle centre. Well i think that's what they said it was lol anyway, it's this huge garden centre thingy 15 min walk away from me with demo gardens, a huge nursery, cafe, function centre, landscaping design business, gift shop and art gallery. it's freaking huge, but I just need to bleep things and take money. So I don't actually know anything about plants. I think I'm also the only person there who isn't into gardening, I feel bad, but I'll learn to love it. So I'm not so strapped for cash anymore! yay! *dances*

I got to go into the Fairfax building last week, Mum organised a day's work experience for me with the illustrators at the herald. I was amazed to find that they employ 2 full time illustrators for the newspaper, I thought 1 + freelancers would be pushing it. It was kinda dull, mostly sitting around browsing the net. together, they only did 3 illustrations over the course of the day, really simple things to. And I did 3 racing tips so there really wasn't much for them to do. I guess that makes it a sweet job. Both of the illustrators were impressed with my work, which made me happy. One of them couldn't believe that nothing in my sketchbook was referenced. I got the warm fuzzies.

In other news, I've had the flu since Sunday. Going out clubbing on Sunday night was not a good idea, by the end of it I was stone sober but still feeling like I was about to fall over from dizziness and grogginess. Don't party and be sick. So because of the flu I haven't done anything creative all week. I feel bad 'cause I haven't done any of my homework, but I just haven't been able to make myself do it. Been playing Warcraft 3 to pass time, I usually play WoW when I'm sick, but my time ran out a few days ago, so I had to downgrade.

blah. but I can't wait to spend some money!
